BeatPal is both an online marketplace for producers to showcase their instrumentals and for artists to browse, purchase, and interact with other producers and artists.
How can I get my own player / page to sell beats?
You first have to sign up for an account, which is completely free. Click here to get started.
Where can I paste my player?
Your player can be pasted almost anywhere HTML script is permitted; SoundClick, MySpace and your own website. Copy a simple set of code located in your back end and/or your profile!
Is there a limit to how many beats I can upload?
No, you are free to upload your entire catalogue!
How do I buy beats?

When do I get paid for selling a beat?
Producers get paid weekly. Because there are small PayPal fees for transferring funds, weekly payments mean that producers save money. *We will be polling users and will change payment frequency if members prefer. Please note that transactions can take a day or two to process.
How much do I get charged for selling a beat?
If you have a free producer account then a 5% commission will be applied. If you have a premium producer account, there is no commission charge on any transactions you make.
What is the difference between a lease, a premium lease, and an exclusive?

Do I have to pay a fee for buying a beat?
No, the price you see is the price you pay.
Do I need to buy a contract after buying a beat?
You do not need to buy a contract, but we suggest that you do. The optional contracts for each lease and exclusive (available for $2.00 USD for those with artist accounts and $4.00 USD for those without) will be available at the time of purchase. You will be prompted to purchase an official contract for each composition. This official contract describes the rights of the licensee and licensor of the composition as it specifically relates to the composition in question.
What if I no longer want to sell a beat?
You can manage which beats you sell and do not sell under the 'Beats' tab of your account after you have logged in.
Why would I sign up for an artist account?
The artist account lets you interact with other artists and producers using BeatPal's different social networking tools. You will be given a database which will keep a record of your transactions and contracts, which are available at the discounted rate of $2.00 USD per composition. (50% off).
What is the premium producer account?
Premium producer accounts are excellent for any producer making more than $250.00 USD per month, offers 0% commission and greater customizability of the BeatPal player. Click here to find out more about our premium producer account.
How do I sign up for a premium producer account?
You must first sign up for a producer account. Once you have and have logged in, you see a tab entitled 'Premium," this will lead to the upgrade page.
Where is the coding for the BeatPal player so I can paste it onto another site?
You will find the coding for your BeatPal player under the account information tab after you have logged into your account. It is also available on the bottom of your producer page. (you can remove this in your back-end)
How do I prevent people from stealing my mp3s?
BeatPal has taken all measures possible to ensure that your beats aren't being stolen. The beat file that is in your player includes either a beep overlay or you can upload your own tagged beat. *The beat that is sent upon purchase is your original, untagged beat.
What rights do I posses when I purchase a beat?
For information on licensing and the licensee, please click on the 'terms and conditions' link at the bottom of the page under "Policy." Section 3 of the terms and conditions will outline all of the information on the legal matters that pertain to leasing.
What format are the beats in?
The audio files that are uploaded are stereo MP3 files and encoded at least in 128 kbps/44.1khz. The tracked-out .wav files are required for the premium leases as well as exclusive purchases. A master .wav file will also be included.
Do I need an account to purchase beats?
No, anyone can purchase beats!
How do I delete messages from my BeatPal message system?
The little red 'x' on the right hand side of sent and received messages lets you delete the messages.
How much do the memberships cost?
The artist account is free. The free producer is account is free, but a 5% commission is charged on each transaction. The premium producer account is $12.50 USD per month and offers greater customizability and no commissions taken on sales.
